Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, now with release date and a voice actor

Leaks and speculations have already been circulating the as-of-yet unannounced game, but it seems that Xbox has beat Ubisoft in the announcement as it reveals the release date for the game in the Xbox.com.

According to EuroGamer, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is slated to be released for the Xbox 360 on May 1. When the game will be available for other platforms are has not yet been announced.

The shooter game, a spin-off of Far Cry 3, is set in 2007 and banks on everything neon and cyber. In the XBLM listing, it says that players will be let loose in an evil island, which is very reminiscent of an 80s VHS dystopia.

"I'm working on something now that will be surprising, I think, when it's announced," said lead writer of Far Cry 3 Jeffrey Yohalem to EuroGamer. "But it definitely is a 'strike while the iron's hot' thing, and we'll see."

Maybe the surprise comes with Michael Biehn, the star voice actor who also haad stints in Terminator, Aliens, and Navy Seals. While there has been no definitive role for him in Blood Dragon, EuroGamer suggests that he may be playing the lead role of Sergeant Rex Colt.
