'General Hospital' spoilers for Feb. 9, 2017: Sonny seeks revenge; Julian’s past catches up on him; Dante questions Carly’s commitment

Previously on “General Hospital,” viewers saw how the nurses united as they opposed the proposed budget cut. There were also a lot of mysteries revealed. For the upcoming episode, it looks like there will be even more. Brace yourselves for deeper plots of revenge and betrayal.

In the previous episode, Lulu Falconeri (Marcy Rylan) overwhelmed Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) with a change in attitude. This is despite the fact that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) had taken some time to comfort her earlier and give her some tips regarding her custody concern. As she faced a mother and daughter moment with Charlotte, the feels came on very strong.

Viewers also saw how Anna Devane (Finole Hughes) struggled with unpleasant memories once again. In the past, new information about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) came up and this was not a pleasant experience.

The episode synopsis on Soaps She Knows reveals that for the Feb. 9 episode, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) will seek vengeance. Julian Jerome’s (William DeVry) past will catch up and may even consume him. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will question Carly Corinthos’ commitment.

Sonny finds himself in hot water with the PCPD the very moment the mob boss decided that Jason was hiding something. Sonny discovered more when he called Brick (Stephen Smith) to show him the recordings and video from the surveillance operation of Jason and Curtis. He will spot the blonde and hear “sister,” making him feel certain that it was Ava Jerome (Maura West) who killed his son.

In the upcoming episode, Sonny will be gunning for Ava, but the chase will not be easy. All that he will see is red and will not let reason get in the way of his vengeance. However, things are about to get very complicated because Curtis is also after Ava.

As for Julian, he has been doing what he could to be a changed man. However, this does not come easy for someone who was born and raised around a life and family of sinister beings. This background will catch up on him and whether he gets over it or if it gets the best of him remains to be seen.

This episode of “General Hospital” will air on Feb. 9 at 1:00 p.m. on ABC Daytime in the US. The soap opera has not appeared on Australian TV since 2011 but fans can definitely still watch the show online via ABC Go.
