George Clooney 'Loaded On Carbs' And Ice Creams At His Lavish Bachelor Party In Venice
George Clooney had an extravagant Bachelor party at a restaurant in Venice where he ate “carb-loaded meal” with lots of wine and ice creams, new details have emerged. The “Oceans Eleven” actor, who married his fiancee Amal Alamuddin in a lavish ceremony in September 2014, did not even have to pay the 3000 pounds ( AUD 5691) bill. The manager at the Ristorante Da Ivo in Venice waived it all off for George but the actor compensated with a “modest” tip.
According to a report by Mirror UK, the actor arrived at the restaurant with his friends without any booking but was accommodated well by the manager. The Venice restaurant provided the actor with privacy by blinding the windows with table cloth. The actor and his friend enjoyed “five courses, a wine on tap and two puddings” for their lavish dinner before the marriage.
“For a man getting married 10 hours later, he was really eating a lot. He sent back for seconds of a big plate of risotto, both times wiping his plate clean with chunks of bread,” Giovanni Fracassi, the manager of the restaurant near St Mark’s Square, is quoted as saying by Mirror UK. But this was not all the actor ate as he also took home some “Dai Dai” mint and chocolate ice creams as he is quite fond of it.
"He ate three and took three with him to eat in his room,” Farcassi added. The manager also said that the actor was so happy with the cook that he went inside the kitchen and kissed her. The manager also joked that the cook can now claim to be the last woman kissed by George before he tied the knot.
Farcassi said that he was shocked to see the Hollywood actor come to his restaurant to enjoy his last night as a bachelor as there are “nicer” restaurants in Venice than his. Clooney reportedly wore a black Armani suit and looked “elegant,” said the manager adding that he was “happy,” when he left the restaurant. The 53-year-old actor got married to Amal just ten hours after his bachelor party.
