Gigi Hadid’s ex Cody Simpson shows new tattoo from Kendall Jenner’s tattoo artist
Almost two months after breaking up with Gigi Hadid, Cody Simpson got a new tattoo on his wrist. The "Surfboard" and “Home to Mama” singer took to Instagram to show the new tattoo to his fans.
“Cheeky trip to @jonboytattoo in NYC, thank you champ. stoked. #mysticmaninthesea,” Simpson captioned the photo of his new tattoo, which he posted today. The tattoo was done by New York-based celebrity tattoo artist known as JonBoy.
In 2000, JonBoy relocated from Chicago to New York City and became known for his minimalist tattoos. Hadid’s friends and fellow models Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin are some of his clients, according to Refinery29.
Simpson and Hadid broke up in in August. It was said that the singer and the model didn't get to spend a lot of time together due to their careers, so they decided to call it quits.
A month before breaking up with Hadid, Simpson released his third studio album, titled “Free,” via the record label Coast House Records, which he owns. The album has two collaboration songs, which are “It Don’t Matter,” featuring Donavon Frankenreiter, and “Love Yourself,” featuring G. Love.
Released on July 10, “Free” is Simpson’s first independent album after leaving Atlanta Records, which released his debut studio album “Paradise” on Sept. 28, 2012. His second album, “Surfers Paradise,” released on July 12, 2013, was also under Atlanta Records.
After their breakup, Simpson spent time writing music while surfing at Venice Beach, while Hadid apparently moved on and is currently dating “Gotta Find You” singer Joe Jonas. A lover of surfing and music, Simpson featured Hadid in the music video of his song “Surfboard” in 2014.
Recently, Simpson was spotted with the daughter of surfing legend Tony Ray named Sahara Ray, who is an Australian model. They were seen getting very cosy while they left the nightclub called On The Rox in Los Angeles, according to News.com.au.
