Google Nexus 5 may arrive in this year's Thanksgiving.

The LG Nexus 4 was launched November of last year. Thus, consumers can expect its successor, Nexus 5, to come no later than November of this year.

Search engine giant Google may capitalize on the buzz created by the new Nexus 7 by launching the Google Nexus 5 earlier. However, it is unlikely that the device will be released before fall. Thus, it is speculated that Google Nexus 5 release date will happen on Thanksgiving Day on November 28.

Rumours claimed that Google Nexus 5 is expected to come with a 5-inch Full HD screen display; an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM; 13MP rear camera; 3300mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS. The handset is rumoured to be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants and will support 4G/LTE connectivity, which was lacking in the Nexus 4.

LG and Motorola is like in a tennis match as it is still unconfirmed which company Google will partner with in making the Google Nexus 5. Due to the immense success of LG Nexus 4, it is speculated that LG will repeat the success of the smartphone.

However, Google and LG engaged in a mudslinging game due LG Nexus 4's limited supply. Nexus 4 was constantly out-of-stock in Google Play Store.

However, other sources claimed that Motorola is working on the Google Nexus 5. An insider tipped that Google Nexus 5 will happen later this year and Motorola is hired by Google to work on it. In his Google+ account, Taylor Wimderly, confirmed that Motorola is working on a Nexus smartphone.

This is most likely to happen since Google finalized the acquisition of Motorola Mobility last year making it a subsidiary of the search engine.

However, Google has not confirmed when is the real Google Nexus 5 release date.
