Google Nexus 6 Preorders To Officially Start On Oct 29
The Google Nexus 6 phablet was unveiled last week. According to the Nexus 6 listing on Google Play Store, the preorder date has been set to Oct 29. The listing shows that the unlocked 32 GB Nexus 6 will be available for preorders with a price tag of $649 and the unlocked 64 GB Nexus 6 will be available for $699.
In the U.S., the Motorola Nexus 6 will also be available through AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Sprint. According to PhoneArena, except for T-Mobile, all the other carriers will sell the Nexus 6 at a reduced price along with a two-year contract. GSMArena claims that the T-Mobile Nexus 6 will be available on Nov 12. However, it is not known whether other carriers will also stick to this Nexus 6 release date.
The carriers have not yet announced details on the Nexus 6 pricing. PhoneArena claims that Nexus 6 is a high-end phone when compared with the Moto X, which is available for $99 with AT&T and Verizon on a two-year deal. Therefore, the Nexus 6 may be available for $200 on a two-year contract.
The Nexus 6 manufactured by Motorola is the last major handset by the company before it is acquired by Lenovo, according to PhoneArena. The Nexus 6 phablet is equipped with high-end specs and features. The handset boasts a huge 5.96-inch AMOLED display that supports quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 805 SoC which produces a clocking speed of 2.7 GHz alongside 3 GB RAM.
The Google Nexus 6 comes preinstalled with the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It also features a 13 MP camera on its back with dual-LED flash. The front features a 2 MP camera. It is also housed with a 3220 mAh battery. The handset is available in two colours, Midnight Blue and Cloud White.
The Google Nexus 9 tablet made by HTC was also announced on the same day when the Nexus 6 was revealed. The HTC Nexus 9 is already available for preorder.
