'Gotham' Season 1 Episode 15 Spoilers: 'The Scarecrow'
In the upcoming episode of the new Fox drama series “Gotham,” the story picks up where it left off in the previous episode titled “The Fearsome Dr. Crane.” On part 2 of the story incorporating Episodes 14 and 15, another classic “Batman” villain will be unveiled. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]
In the new episode, Jonathan Crane, who was first seen as a lanky teenager in the previous episode, will be revealed to be “The Scarecrow.” Dr Gerald Crane is being hunted down by detectives Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock. He slipped through their fingers last time as they attempted to arrest him in the act of killing Harvey’s new friend, Scottie. Dr Crane is a serial killer who has been targeting victims with intense phobias. Jim’s new love interest, Dr Leslie Thompson, has figured out that Dr Crane has been killing the victims at the moment when they are most afraid, and he is harvesting their adrenal glands.
Dr Crane has been dragging his teenage son along for the ride while he has been on his killing spree. According to the Hollywood Reporter, while it is the elder Crane that is currently wreaking havoc in the city, it will actually be his son Jonathan who will develop into the Scarecrow. The Scarecrow is one of the villains that has made an appearance in “Batman” comics and films over the years. Unlike his father who aims to eradicate fear, the Scarecrow takes pleasure in inflicting it upon others.
Leslie has been an enormous help in Jim’s previous two cases, so he offers her a job as the new medical examiner for the Gotham City Police Department. However, that job is being coveted by the department’s forensics examiner Ed Nygma. He had a hand in getting the previous medical examiner fired, so it remains to be seen how he will react when Jim offers the job to Leslie instead of him.
In a promo video shared by Spoiler TV, Bruce Wayne decides to take a treacherous hike and starts his journey towards becoming Batman. He has become frustrated with Jim Gordon’s inability to solve his parents’ murder case, so he decides to take matters into his own hands.
Meanwhile, Fish Mooney has been attacked while attempting to escape Gotham and Don Falcone’s henchmen. Her nemesis Penguin has escaped another close call but needs to approach Don Falcone for protection against Don Maroni who wants him dead. All these and more will be revealed in Episode 15 of “Gotham” titled “The Scarecrow,” which airs on Monday on Fox.
