'Gotham' Season 2, Episode 6 Spoilers: Rise of the Villains: By Fire [VIDEO]
Next Monday on the FOX series “Gotham,” Episode 6 is titled “Rise of the Villains: By Fire.” In this episode, detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the rest of the Gotham City Police Department start their manhunt for the Firefly. Elsewhere, Theo Galavan and Penguin continue to cause chaos in the city. [Warning: Spoiler Alert]
According to the episode synopsis shared by TV.com, Bridgit Pike (Michelle Ventimilla) “takes charge of her future after rejoining her brothers.” In the previous episode, she was portrayed as a meek young girl who was bullied and manipulated by her older brothers into joining the family’s arson business.
After being forced to do some jobs, Bridgit starts to enjoy herself and gains confidence. In the Episode 6 promo trailer, she is seen working together with her childhood friend Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). [scroll down for video]
Jim and Selina have formed an unusual friendship, and he warns her against continuing to work with the Firefly. Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) has low tolerance for any criminal and is likely to disregard any friendship Jim might have with Selina when he goes after Bridgit a.k.a. Firefly.
Elsewhere, Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) and Kristen Kringle’s (Chelsea Spack) relationship evolve. With Nygma’s personality getting taken over more and more by his confident split personality, he has finally managed to capture Kristen’s heart.
Down in the underworld, Penguin will continue to fight for a way to reclaim his position as the most powerful criminal in Gotham City. He intends to use the information he just learned about Theo Galavan’s vendetta against the Wayne family.
Galavan, on the other hand, continues his bid to become Mayor. With the introduction of Father Creel in the previous episode, and the revelation of Theo’s connection to the ancient Dumas clan, DC comic book fans would know that the Order of St. Dumas will be making its mark in the series very soon.
“Gotham” airs every Monday at 8:00 pm ET on FOX.
