Grown-Up GQ Cover: Emma Watson Bares Enviable Figure on UK Magazine [PHOTOS]
Almost every "Harry Potter" star had to do a double take when the GQ UK May issue was released online. The British version of the magazine had the famous Emma Watson on the cover in her most daring and sexy attire yet. Dressed up as a character from "Bling Ring", Emma Watson is definitely "in character out of control."
Well, Emma's move of appearing in a cut-out "Pretty Woman"-inspired dress on the cover of GQ is a farewell move to her good-girl role in "Harry Potter." Gone are the bushy hair and buck teeth, instead, Watson sizzles in a cleavage and tummy baring attire, complete with her fake tattoos and brunette curly hair. Dressed as Nikki, Watson's character from "Bling Ring", Watson also opens up on her role in the Sofia Coppola-directed film.
"When I read the script and I realized that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it's become to our society, I had to do it," says Watson to the magazine.
Despite having felt "strongly against" Nikki, Emma had found the role greatly interesting.
"She's superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She's all of these things and I realized that I hated her. How do you play someone you hate? But I found it really interesting and it gave me a whole new insight into what my job, or my role as an actress, could be," explained Watson.
Watson had landed quite a few roles in the film business right after "Harry Potter." Yet, instead of heading back into the period dramas such as "Perks of Being a Wallflower", Watson had decided to take the risk and apply for the role of Nikki.
"Really I was open-minded about doing anything, but the one thing I didn't want to do was get myself into a corset because I was worried I'd never get out again," said Watson, adding, "I knew it would be a really comfortable thing to do, but I felt... I had to dive into something really different. This has been a really big departure for me; it's a really big character."
