‘GTA Online’ Patch Blows Up Hackers’ Duke O’ Death Cars As Latest Minor Patch Fix Graphical And Animation Issues
Cheating and exploits in “Grand Theft Auto V” have been rampant since the game was released. However, the latest exploit for its online version, “GTA Online” has been patched in a different and creative way.
Player have found a way to make use of the Duke o’ Death car, which is considered a supercar for the single-player campaign “GTA V,” in the online mode. Importing this car in the online multiplayer will give an advantage to cheaters and hackers, hence the necessary fix. The common way to deal with a exploit is to have it removed from the game. But according to Polygon, developer Rockstar Games manage an even better way to do this—by exploding the car.
Videos have now been popping up, showing how any attempts at riding the Duke o’ Death in “GTA Online” will see the player’s character blown up to pieces. The video below shows just how the car will explode the moment the player gets into the car.
For those playing “Grand Theft Auto V” on the PS4 and Xbox One, a minor patch was released over the weekend. Rockstar Games noted over its official website some of the miscellaneous fixes coming to the console versions of the game.
Most of the fixes are centred on graphical issues, particularly those that occurred following the Title Update 1.08. This is basically the issue on deteriorated graphical quality, which has been fully resolved and restored in the latest patch. The two other issues that have been fixed includes the issue of players’ character appearances changing periodically, and an issue where players who are aiming on players’ screens do not have proper animation.
“GTA V” is continually seeing success as a title. With only a few days away from release, the PC version of the game is already seeing success on the charts. Over at Steam, “GTA V” has already taken the first slot in the top sellers chart. It overtakes the likes of “H1Z1,” “Mortal Kombat X,” “DayZ” and “Elite: Dangerous,” which puts it at a good place considering that it’s still on a preorder basis. Preloading for “GTA V” starts on April 7, but there is still time to preorder the title, as it will be officially released on April 14.
