‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’: Chris Pratt reveals James Gunn movie will be emotional
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” made its fans wait for quite long before the makers unveiled the first glimpse of the movie. Without giving out details, Chris Pratt (Star Lord) recently said that the James Gunn movie will be worth the wait.
Pratt said that the second instalment will be bigger and better. “It’s bigger and better than the first movie in every way. And that’s saying a lot because I think the first movie is really good,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
The actor was reluctant to reveal details about the storyline as he wanted people to go and watch it. However, he gave an overview saying that “Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2” will be high on emotional quotient compared to its predecessor.
“All you need to know is I cried when I read the script. It’s really, really fun, but there’s also some genuine, deep emotion that you get to see in this movie. And James Gunn, thank God for James Gunn,” Pratt said.
How will the emotional gravitas be rooted in the James Gunn film?
The story of the movie will be set two months after the first film in which Peter Quill or Star Lord is hunting for his father, who eventually turns out to be Ego, the living planet whose humanoid form will be played by Kurt Russel. Furthermore, during his journey, Star Lord will bond with his team of extraterrestrial misfits. Undoubtedly, the movie will be an emotional roller coaster.
Directed by James Gunn, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is slated for release in Australia on April 25.
