The jury of the Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court declared on Wednesday guilty the two Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) cadets who had sex with a female cadet and broadcast the act live via Skype.

Found guilty of committing an act of indecency on a woman and using a carriage service in an offensive manner were Daniel McDonald, 21, and Dylan Deblaquiere, 20.

It was actually Mr McDonald who was declared guilty for indecency on a woman since he was the one who was filmed having sex with an unnamed female cade, now 20, who insisted that while the sex was consensual as part of their "friends with benefit" deal, she did not give him permit to film or broadcast their intimate moments.

During the trial, McDonald said she was aware that his computer was open and claimed she even waved to the camera.

Mr Deblaquiere was found guilty of using a carriage service in an offensive manner for watching the sex between the two, along with five other male cadets.

The female cadet admitted she broke college fraternization rules by going to the room of Mr McDonald and having sex with him. She cried in the public gallery when she heard the guilty verdict on the two.

The sentencing of the two cadets is set for October, although they have been released on bail.

Besides the case of the two cadets, the ADF has been hit by other sex scandals such as this one.

And a bigger scandal involving also the videotaping by soldiers of sex with women and sending these videos through email, is still being investigated by the military authorities.
