An official apologetic statement was issued to Russell Crowe by Sir Richard Branson gym in England after the actor was turned down rudely during one of his visits.

The actor who was the star of the hit movie 'The Gladiator' was currently in the UK region doing his Les Miserables film. It just so happened last Wednesday that he was in a need for a total workout. The actor contacted the Royal Bershire Health & Racquets Club in Bracknell who told him to drop by and check out their facilities in person. But when he arrived, he was turned down because he is not a member.

The actor was easily angered and vented out all his frustration over his favourite venue, his Twitter account. In his tweet, he called the staff as 'hoity toity' and urged Branson to have a smarter set of staff to represent his business.

Such and the rest of his hurt comments caught the bosses' attention from Virgin Active and a member of the company ordered the PR team to extend to the actor the sincerest apology for how he was treated. As per Crowe's reply, he took it all out again on Twitter, stating that the PR email was nice but that he will just settle for the other gyms where the regular guys work out.

Even one of his fans said that he is an employee at the club and invited the actor to join him for a workout session in the coming days but still Crowe declined. He wished the fan though all the best but he insisted on just getting in a gym that comes with a friendlier atmosphere.
