In the midst of the E3 2016 hype, 343 Industries is keeping “Halo 5 Guardians” fans busy. By the end of June, there will be a new expansion coming.

Dubbed the Warzone Firefight release, the new expansion will bring what is supposed to be the biggest expansion to date. Over at the official Halo Waypoint blog, the developer has detailed the inclusions for the update.

These include the PvE mode and the Warzone Boss Refresh. Weapons and possibly a new map will also debut with the update. There are a few other surprises coming with the update but it seems that the developer will detail them once they become available.

343 Industries also released some new images of the bosses that players will face against in the “Halo 5 Guardians” Warzone Firefight expansion. The ones seen above are Warzone bosses that have the Ultra class-armour in white, an homage to the former Covenant empire.

Fans of the “Halo” franchise can also look forward to the Loot Crate tailored specifically for the Halo community. Over at Xbox Wire, 343 Industries has confirmed the partnership with Loot Crate to let fans collect more loot from the universe.

“The Legendary Crate will include exclusive figures, apparel, collections, in-game items and other UNSC-approved loot from the biggest and best moments across the Halo universe,” said 343 Industries Director of Consumer Products John Friend.

There’s already a sample Loot Crate Box, seen in the link above, which is a simple black box emblazoned with the Gold “Halo” title and some stylistic emblems. The Halo Legendary Crate will come every two months, sold for US$34.99 (approx. AU$47) plus a US$5 (approx. AU$8) domestic shipping for every crate. The first crate is set to debut sometime in late August, but the developer has promised to provide more details and a sneak peek soon.
