Harry Styles album live stream link, review: 'Two Ghosts' may be about Taylor Swift
Former One Direction singer Harry Styles is officially a solo rock star. His first solo album “Harry Styles” is finally out from Columbia Records. The album's first song, “Sign of the Times,” and the latest release “Sweet Creature” are already dominating music charts, thus signalling that his album will be a hit with fans as well.
Another song, “Two Ghosts,” is also in the news due to speculation that the lyrics are about ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. Here's the reason the song has sparked such rumours. When Swift released the song “Style,” it was obvious for 1D fans to think that it's about Harry. Swift used lyrics describing a man with "long hair, slicked back, and a white T-shirt." In "Two Ghosts," Styles simply took inspiration from Swift's song and sings about someone who wears the "same white shirt.”
Other songs expected to be a hit are “Carolina,” “Meet Me in the Hallway,” and “Kiwi.” The latter is about a rude girl having his baby and tells him that he should mind his own business. There is speculation in the media that the song is about rumoured ex-flame New Zealand-born lingerie model Georgia Fowler. Styles has not yet confirmed this.
The content of the album is mostly “songs about stories, and another group of songs delving into, 'Why did I feel like that,'" as Styles said in a making-of documentary of his first solo venture. "I wanted to see if I could write something that people liked, without knowing everything about me."
Other songs are “Woman” (about a girl who leaves Harry to be with another man), “Angel” (a girl whose appearances are deceptive), “Brooklyn” (a girl he had a relationship with in New York) and “From the Dining Table” (again, about a girl who left).
The lyrics of the last song “From the Dining Table” talk about how he mostly wakes up alone in a hotel room. Sadly, his girl is not there when he needs her (Played with myself, where were you? / I fell back asleep and was drunk by noon / I've never felt less cool).
Styles' supporters are already liking his solo debut album, telling him on his Instagram that “Carolina,” “Kiwi” and “Two Ghosts” are his best. Fans can get a glimpse of the songs for free on YouTube Vevo.
