Here's How Much Jake Paul Is Worth In 2021
Jake Paul recently showcased his custom $100,000 chain of Conor McGregor. Here's how much the YouTube star is worth in 2021.
Ahead of UFC 264, Paul revealed on social media that he commissioned a chain showcasing the UFC legend laying on the canvas after losing to Dustin Poirier, which became a meme online following their January rematch.
The social media personality claimed he splurged $100,000 on the chain, which he dubbed “Sleepy McGregor” and features the UFC star holding a bottle of NyQuil. This came amid Paul's repeated attempts to entice McGregor into accepting a fight offer.
After knocking out Nate Robinson in a boxing bout back in November last year, Paul called out a number of big names, including McGregor, LeBron James, and Dillon Danis.
In a YouTube video he uploaded December 2020, Paul claimed his team sent McGregor a fight offer worth $50 million. He also taunted the UFC star claiming he was “scared to fight” him and that he was “ducking me because you don’t want to lose to a (expletive) YouTuber.”
When asked about Paul and his brother Logan, who faced off against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in June, McGregor called them “dingbats” but did not rule out a fight. “Never say never. If they’re gonna keep competing, who knows?” he told News.com.au’s Nick Walshaw this month.
But while spending $100,000 on a necklace may seem too lavish, Paul can more than afford it. Boasting 20.5 million followers on YouTube, he is worth $20 million as of 2021, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Paul began his video career with Vine in September 2013 but moved on to other platforms after it closed down in 2017. He signed on to star in the Disney sitcom “Bizaardvark” that year but was fired months later during the filming of the second season.
In the same year, he also launched Team 10, followed by the release of one of his most well-known songs, “It's Everyday Bro,” which now has nearly 290 million views on YouTube.
Around that time, Paul had already been involved in multiple controversies, including complaints from neighbors over his wild parties, fire hazards and pranks. However, this did not stop Paul from earning big as according to Celebrity Net Worth, he made an estimated $11.5 million in 2016 and another $11 million in 2017.
By 2018, he was making a whopping $21.5 million a year, catapulting him to the no. 2 spot in the list of highest-earning YouTubers in the world that year, according to the website.
Paul made his professional boxing debut against the YouTuber AnEsonGib, also known as Gib, in January 2020 in Miami. He won the bout, and he continued his winning streak during his November 2020 match against Robinson and April fight against Ben Askren.
For his latest boxing match, Paul received a guaranteed $690,000 for fighting Askren, Sportskeeda reported, citing a salary list disclosed by Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission.
The YouTube star also received a cut of the pay-per-view revenue, which was not disclosed. But estimates put his total fight earnings above $1 million as Paul claimed the event generated a revenue of $75 million.
