Hey Big Sis, Selena Gomez!
Selena Gomez had reasons to be grateful last Thanksgiving.
Right after the holiday, the teen star shared some wonderful news. Her mother, Mandy Teefey, is now pregnant, which means she will officially become a big sister.
"Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news... My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister :)," Gomez tweeted excitedly, together with a monochrome photo of her mother and stepfather, Brian Teefey, caressing the former's slowly-growing belly.
It is yet to be known whether the young Teefey's a boy or a girl, though.
"I'm the happiest girl in the world!," the TV 'wizard' adds on her tweeted announcement.
Teefey and Gomez' father, Ricardo Joel Gomez, divorced when she was only five years old. The 'Hit The Lights' singer, in turn, was raised single-handedly by her mother until remarrying in 2006. The soon-to-be-born baby would be their first child.
The Disney gal had already practiced being an older figure on several occasions, one of which was in last year's family flick 'Ramona & Beezus', where she deals with an overly-imaginative younger sister named Ramona, played by Joey King.
Recently also, she took her puppy Baylor to a nearby hospital for surgery after it accidentally ingested some rocks. The canine was adopted at a local animal shelter while she and beau Justin Bieber were on Winnipeg, Canada.
"My baby is sick :( praying for his surgery," Gomez worriedly shares via Twitter.
However, now that she's going to be a sister for real, the 19-year-old couldn't be more ecstatic.
Another reason why Gomez is extremely happy is that her stalker's restraining order has been extended. She filed the protective order against the culprit, Thomas Brodnicki, last October due to a few scary death threats.
The stalker confided to his therapists a few times about meeting the star and taking her life after. He also claimed that they are "the holy chosen ones of God".
The actress' attorney, Blair Berk, originally planned a three-year restraining order, but the judge only extended it to January, right before the hearing. Although, Brodnicki failed to appear on some court sessions, so there still might be a chance.
We only wish the best for Selena - on her baby and the trial.
