Dave Bautista will reportedly be playing the role of the main villain in the “Highlander” reboot. The actor is popular for playing the role of Drax in the box office hit movie “Guardians of the Galaxy.” There has still not been any official announcement about the main cast members in the upcoming movie.

“Highlander” Reboot will be telling the story of Connor MacLeod, a Scottish immortal, from the 1986 movie with the same name. According to a report by LatinoReview, Dave Bautista will be playing the role of Victor Kruger, the main villain in the 1986 movie. The movie will reportedly be directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan.

Cedric Nicolas-Troyan is known for working on visual effects for popular Hollywood movies such as “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.” This may be the first time that he will be directing such a big project.

Movie buffs who have watched the 1986 “Highlander” movie will remember Victor Kruger or The Kurgan to be a vicious barbarian immortal. He is the final foe that the hero has to face in the movie in order to win an unknown “prize.”

The “Highlander” Reboot will reportedly follow a similar plot. The main story in the movie is about the Immortals of the world being drawn to each other in order to duel to death. Only one immortal will be staying alive towards the end of the movie. The Immortals in the movie will be competing for a fabled “prize” that awaits the winner.

The role of Victor Kruger was played by the actor Clancy Brown in the 1986 movie. There have been no reports about who would be playing the role of Connor MacLeod in the upcoming movie. The role of the hero in the 1986 movie was played by Christopher Lambert.

If Dave Bautista is confirmed to play the role of the villain in the “Highlander” Reboot, it will mark the addition of another high-profile movie in the actor’s career. The actor will next be seen in the big budget James Bond movie “Spectre,” which is slated to be released in November 2015.
