The Hollywood Boulevard will be closed Monday for the advance premiere of Kenneth Branagh’s movie, ‘Thor’, starring Australian Chris Hemsworth.

The Hollywood Reporter said that the lanes of the street between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive are getting shut down from 6 a.m. Monday until 1 a.m. Tuesday.

The affected areas can be seen here, according to NavigateHollywood.com.

The website added that also scheduled to be closed from 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. will be the mid-block crosswalk. Also planned for road closure is the south sidewalk in front of El Capitan from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The film, which also features Academy Award winner, Natalie Portman and highly acclaimed actor, Anthony Hopkins, is the story about a “powerful and arrogant warrior, 'Thor', who was sent to the earth after he was cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard”.

‘Thor’ opens in U.S. theaters on May 6 and it is expected to race with speeding “Fast Five” not only at the U.S. markets but also overseas.
