'Home and Away' recap and review of August 1 - 4, 2016 episodes: Chris and Brody’s war, Evelyn’s naughty side revealed, a very thrilling Olympic cliffhanger
For recently concluded week on “Home and Away,” it was pretty obvious the crew had to build up a lot of drama to leave viewers in anticipation of what is in store when the show returns from a two week break to give way to the Olympics.
It has already been confirmed on Back to the Bay that “Home and Away” will be gone for two weeks to make way for the airing of the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The series has always been notorious for putting episodes that are more thrilling and tragic than usual when the show is about to go on break. This involved a mudslide in 2000, a siege for 2004 and a wide health scare in 2008.
Last Monday, August 1, Justin (James Stewart) and Phoebe (Isabella Giovinazzo) joined efforts to find that ever elusive book. Kat (Pia Miller), on the other hand, struggled from the consequences of her fallout with Ash (George Mason). A war ensued between Chris (Johnny Ruffo) and Brody (Jackson Heywood) as they found themselves in tight competition over their businesses, with one even accusing the other of stealing his customers.
On Tuesday, viewers then witnessed Evelyn’s (Philippa Northeast) naughty side as she partied like there was no tomorrow, even refusing any help from anyone. Chris, on the other hand, got even more desperate in his moves to bring down competition, and his beef with Brody got tighter. Kat gave up all hope with Ash, supposedly for good.
Evelyn did hold back from revealing her wild side on Wednesday, as she and Mason (Orpheus Pledger) become friends with benefits. Leah (Ada Nicodemou) still struggled in accepting that she is now a grandmother.
Finally, on Thursday, “Home and Away” released its trump card to get viewers waiting for what will happen next. Daily Mail gives an insight as to what happened in August 4, which is the plane’s crash. Who survives and who does not will be revealed when the show returns after the Olympics.
“Home and Away” will be on break to make way for the Olympic Games from August 6 to 22. The Australian soap opera airs Monday to Thursday at 7:00 p.m. on Seven Network in Australia. In the UK, “Home and Away” airs during weekdays at 1:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Channel 5.
