‘Home and Away’ spoilers for Feb. 2: Summer Bay deals with dark secrets, troubled relationships, rekindled romance and goodbyes

It’s going to be an emotional day in Summer Bay as “Home and Away” delivers another eventful episode. On Thursday, love is in the air for complicated couple Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovinazzo) and Justin Morgan/Jack Lee (James Stewart), as well as Katarina Chapman (Pia Miller) and Martin “Ash” Ashford (George Mason).

However, things may not be as rosy for Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou) and Zac Macguire (Charlie Clausen), when they don’t see eye to eye about an important matter. Meanwhile, Bianca Scott (Lisa Gromley) and Heath Braxton (Dan Ewing) prepare to leave Sumer Bay, carrying a big secret. The upcoming episode also features other “Home and Away” characters John Palmer (Shane Withington), Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), Mason Morgan/Michael Lee (Orpheus Pledger), Olivia Richards (Raechelle Banno), Hunter King (Scott Lee) and Irene Roberts (Lynne McGranger).

Back to the Bay reports that on Thursday, Bianca suspects that she’s pregnant. This may be the reason why she and Heath gear up to say goodbye to Summer Bay. Meanwhile, Zac and Leah have another disagreement, which may lead to another fallout. John chooses to keep the truth from Marilyn, while Kat relentlessly pursues the arsonist.

Also on Thursday, Ash returns to Summer Bay with a clear agenda. Elsewhere, Justin finds himself alone when he wakes up at his room in the hospital. Olivia, on the other hand, tries too hard to be the best girlfriend ever.

Seven Network posted a sneak peek of the Feb. 2 episode on its official website. In the trailer, Brody informs Phoebe that Justin’s in the hospital after being stabbed. Phoebe visits him right away and they end up kissing. Meanwhile, Olivia tries to prove to Mason that she’s not hung up on Hunter, but gets frustrated when she doesn’t get the reaction that she’s expecting.

The upcoming episode also shows John being emotional as he watches over Marilyn at the hospital. Kat, on the other hand, realises that the series of fires is not just arson, but an attempted murder. Speaking of Kat, she’s surprised when Ash comes over her place, professes his love for her and asks her to give their relationship another chance.

"Home and Away" recap

In the previous episode, Riley Hawkins (Ryan O'Kane) bumped into Ranae, who pretended to a new pediatrician at the hospital. After Riley left, Ranae rummaged through the medicines and found what she’s looking for. Later, while Tori and Riley were talking, Nate walked in and greeted the surgeon. Tori was surprised that the two men know each other. Nate asked Tori about Riley, and she said they were an item before but he broke up with her.

Mick continued to hold Irene a hostage at her own home. While he said he’s already better, he continued to be creepy, stopping Irene to answer her phone. When Brody appeared on her doorstep, Irene made a run for it and asked for his help. Mick, on the other hand, managed to escape before Brody could even see him. Later, Mason and Olivia arrived and Brody lashed out at his brother for being MIA. Brody informed Mason that Justin has been stabbed and that Ranae’s on the loose. When the police arrived, Brody and Mason headed to the hospital with Olivia.

After making sure that Justin is okay, Mason left to look for Olivia. Tori also left the room, while Brody was nowhere in sight. Ranae took advantage of this opportunity and went inside Justin’s room while he was sleeping. She injected something on him and said, “Sorry about this, Jack. But your father started it.” A few minutes later, Tori and Nate rushed to Justin’s room, after being notified that something’s wrong with him. Brody, on the other hand, spotted Ranae, who quickly ran away.

Fortunately, Kat was there and the culprit was promptly arrested. Ranae was held at a room while waiting for the police mobile to take her to prison. Tori and Brody rushed in to confront Ranae, who said she’s doing it because of their father. Ranae claimed that their dad lured his father to join the syndicate but betrayed him in the end. Ranae said that her dad is in prison, paying for the crimes that their father did.

John scrambled to find Marilyn, who still hasn’t been seen since the firestorm. Worried about John, Alf followed him and the two searched for Marilyn in the woods. Finally, Alf spotted her buried in some rubble, and he immediately called for an ambulance.
