“Home and Away” recap

Last week, Irene brought Billie to the hospital. Billie was a nervous wreck when she found out she’s bleeding, but was relieved when she heard her baby’s heartbeat. Later, VJ became worried when he learned about Billie’s pregnancy scare. At home, tension brewed when VJ brought Billie for dinner. Leah and Zac were against it, saying that VJ had to study. The next day, VJ ranted to Billie about his mum, who seems to be controlling his life and his decisions. When they went back home, VJ clashed with Leah about his studies. He then dropped a bombshell: he’s going to live with Billie. Zac, Leah and even Billie were shocked over VJ’s decision to move out.

After Matt talked to Alf, he realised he’s treating Roo the wrong way and apologised for being cranky. Alf informed Roo that Justin, who arrived at that point, would be taking over the shop. Later, Alf and Roo invited Matt over for dinner. Alf admitted that he felt bad for obligating Roo to take care of him instead of the other way around, but she said she’s more than willing to do so.

Olivia walked in on Hunter at the beach and asked him why he’s not been returning her calls and messages, as well as missing school. She tried to talk to him about Josh’s sentencing the next day and about the whole ordeal. Hunter completely lost it and lashed at her for probing and told her to leave him alone. When Zac came over to check in on him, Hunter reassured his dad that he’s fine but said he’s not going back to school. Later, Hunter pored over a box of photos of him and his mum, which he burned shortly after.

At home, John surprised Marilyn by telling her he’s building her a yoga studio at their house’s spare room. However, she didn’t look ecstatic as he hoped she would be. When John talked to Leah about it, she said Marilyn was devastated that they won’t be fostering a child anymore. John said he doesn’t want to let down another kid, but Leah said he’s letting down the kids who need him, as well as his wife. Later, John revealed to Marilyn that he’s decided to foster another child, making her truly happy.
