"Home and Away" recap
On Tuesday, Marilyn and John talked about Skye and her decision to skip town with Tank. Their discussion turned to the changes about Marilyn since she went to a European trip. While they tried to readjust to living again together, they soon found out it wasn’t as easy as it seemed. Marilyn felt like she and John are out of sync.
Upon Tori’s encouragement, Justin visited Alf at the hospital. He met Nate there again, who mentioned something about the Morgans’ parents. Justin was surprised that Tori was sharing information with Nate. In Alf’s room, Justin introduced himself to Roo and asked how Alf was doing. Roo asked Justin if he could pitch in and run the boat shop, but both he and Alf shut her idea down. Later, at the bakeshop, Roo approached Justin again about her offer. Roo lied and said Alf was okay with Justin managing the boat shop, and Justin agreed to do so.
At the boat shop, Tori walked in on Justin and he shared with her about his new job. Justin invited his sister to celebrate, but Tori saw Nate looking down and went with him instead for a walk. When Tori returned to the boat shop, Justin confronted her for the family information she’s been sharing with Nate. Justin accused her of flirting with Nate, and reminded her that she can’t trust anyone. He ordered Tori to cut whatever ties she has with Nate before she gets them in any more danger. Later at the bar, Nate walked in on Tori and wanted to have drinks with her. However, Tori said it’s not appropriate. She told him she’s his boss, not his friend. She ordered him to back off and she walked away.
Meanwhile, Irene was desperately pleading to Mick to stop so they could get some help. Mick wasn’t about to budge, and when Irene saw an opportunity, she grabbed it. She took a rock and hit Mick on the head, knocking him down. She immediately ran away. Shortly after, Olivia – who was driving around the area with Chris – saw her. It was an emotional moment when the three reunited. They immediately went to the hospital to get Irene’s wounds treated. Later, Olivia was livid when she saw Mick being wheeled in to the hospital as well. Irene was clearly upset upon seeing him and said she wants to go home.
At the house, Irene recounted to Kat what happened that led to her kidnapping. She said Mick introduced himself as Chris’ uncle and since he looked harmless, she let him in her house. When they started talking, he started giving her the creeps, so she started making excuses for him to leave. However, he didn’t do as she asked and threatened her to do everything he says or he’d hurt her. Irene said Mick made her ride his car and they drove away to the house where he tied her up in the chair. Irene continued, saying she felt like he was punishing her. Mick kept going on and on about how he was her son and that she abandoned him as a baby.
Later, Kat returned to tell Irene, Chris and Olivia that upon checking Mick’s background, the police found that he’s already got previous records of doing grievous bodily harm, breaking and entering and sexual assault. Irene insisted that Mick never laid a finger on her. Kat then dropped a bombshell on Irene – based on the DNA results that Kat found at the house, Mick was indeed Irene’s son. Irene was beside herself – she couldn’t believe that such a monster was her son. Chris and Olivia comforted her, saying that the way Mick turned out had nothing to do with Irene, but she seemed not to believe this.
