“Home and Away” recap
In the previous episode, Brody gave Riley a stern warning, asking the doctor not to mess around his sister again. Riley said he will do whatever it takes to win back Tori and that includes getting along with her brothers. Later, Brody informed Tori that Riley was flirting with Evie the other night. Tori didn’t believe him and felt like Brody was just overreacting. At the beach, Tori confronted Riley about it and he denied it, saying he was just talking to Evie. Riley insisted that he loves Tori but she’s having a hard time believing him considering that he cheated on her before.
After talking to Riley, Tori went to clear things with Evie about Riley. Evie said he wasn’t flirting with her and he was just being nice. Evie assured Tori that she has nothing to worry about. That night, Riley surprised Tori by asking her to move to the city with him. He reckoned it’s best to move away and start a new chapter of their lives. He harped on the fact that it’s the first time in so long that she’s free again to do whatever she wants. Tori smiled, looking like she’s about to agree.
Earlier, Mat and Evie were planning their sailing trip to Greece when he found the letter about her acceptance letter for a teaching scholarship in Vietnam. When he asked her if she’ll pursue it, Evie said she won’t. Matt said she may be passing up a good opportunity but she insisted she doesn’t want to go. Later, he realised that Evie was lying and told her to grab her dream job. He said they can change their travel plans for the scholarship. Later, Evie told Matt that she’ll pursue the opportunity if he comes along with her to Vietnam, leaving him completely shocked.
Meanwhile, Zac was horrified when he woke up beside Sam, realising that they slept together. When he went home, Alf berated Zac for not coming home and for making Leah sick with worry. He tried to explain to Leah but she didn’t want to hear any of his excuses. Zac continued making efforts to sort things out with his wife, but Leah snapped at him again for disappearing the whole night. Leah went upstairs for a moment just as Sam appeared on the doorstep. Zac panicked seeing her and kicked Sam out.
Outside, Zac lashed out at Sam for coming over to his house. Sam insisted he left her with no choice – he sneaked out after having slept with her. Zac apologised to Sam and said that he loves Leah. He also admitted that what happened meant nothing to him. Distraught, Sam told him not to come to her about his problems again. Later, Leah realised she needs to fix her issues with Zac. It looked like he was about to tell Leah about what happened between him and Sam when Leah said they need to put the past behind them and start fresh. Zac agreed despite feeling bad about lying again to his wife.
