‘Home and Away’ spoilers for Oct. 5: Billie and her baby fight for their lives; Nate makes a terrible discovery

Fear, guilt and devastation hound Summer Bay on the next episode of “Home and Away.” On Wednesday, Billie Ashford’s (Tessa De Josselin) life hangs in the balance after she gets into a horrific accident. Things are looking grim, according to Nate Cooper (Kyle Pryor), who finds out something horrible.

As Martin “Ash” Ashford (George Mason) gets extremely worried about his little sister, VJ Patterson (Matthew Little) and Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovinazzo) are also in a state, blaming themselves for what happened. The Oct. 5 episode also features other “Home and Away” cast members including Justin Morgan (James Stewart), Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou), Zac Macguire (Charlie Clausen) and Katarina Chapman (Pia Miller).

Back to the Bay reports that on Wednesday’s run, VJ and Phoebe are overwhelmed with guilt over Billie’s accident. Billie and her baby’s condition, on the other hand, are in grave danger, while Nate reels after uncovering something.

Seven Network posted a sneak peek of the Oct. 5 run. In the trailer, Phoebe begs Nate to tell her that Billie’s going to be okay. Ash, meanwhile, lashes at everyone about his sister’s condition. Nate then tells them about the grim news: Billie is bleeding internally and they don’t know where it’s coming from and how much there is. The only way to find out is to operate, or else Billie and the baby may lose their lives. Phoebe and VJ are beside themselves, feeling absolutely guilty about what happened.

“Home and Away” recap

In the previous episode, Evie and Brody bonded while she helped him around with Phoebe’s gardening. At first the two poured their hearts out to each other, but later found themselves horsing around and having fun. After throwing manure at each other, they cleaned themselves up. Mason arrived and seeing Brody clad with only a towel and Evie sporting a robe, he assumed the two hooked up and lashed out at his brother. After clearing the air, Mason apologised and promised Evie that it won’t happen again.

Justin talked to Damian before he goes to his brunch date with Phoebe. Justin tried to discourage Damian from pursuing her, but the latter doesn’t have any qualms about being a rebound guy. Justin then resorted to bribing Damian, offering his services at the garage for free, and it worked. He then went up to cheer up Phoebe, who wasn’t used to being stood up by a guy. The two spent time at Salt, playing games, talking about music and sharing a meal.

Later, Justin confessed that he deliberately ruined her date because she means something to him. Their moment was broken when Billie texted Phoebe, wanting to hang out. Billie was devastated after she and VJ clashed over money. The pressure to save money, do well in his studies and take care of a pregnant girlfriend was taking a toll on VJ and he had an outburst.

Meanwhile, Ash made a deal with the police: they’ll drop the investigation against him in exchange of Ash setting up the guy they’re after. However, things didn’t go as planned when the criminal sensed that police were surrounding the area. Phoebe was on her way to meet Billie when the guy that the police was looking for took her as hostage inside her car. He forced her to drive around, then asked her to pull over somewhere, before running away. Phoebe then sped off, looking behind her to see whether the guy’s following her. She didn’t notice Billie in front of her, accidentally running over the pregnant woman.
