‘Home and Away’ spoilers for Sep 1: Olivia is in for a rude awakening; Phoebe and Kat’s dreamy date night turns to a complete nightmare

Summer Bay residents get a jolt of shocking realisations and devastating truths on the next episode of “Home and Away.” On Thursday, Olivia Richards (Raechelle Banno) is shocked to discover that Hunter King (Scott Lee) has been telling the truth about Tabitha Ford (Eliza Scanlen) all along.

Meanwhile, Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovinazzo) and Katarina Chapman (Pia Miller) are happy that their blind dates seem to be going well, until they find out that the supposedly decent men are actually creeps. Other “Home and Away” cast members who will also appear on the upcoming installment include Martin “Ash” Ashford (George Mason), Chris Harrington (Johnny Ruffo), Zac Macguire (Charlie Clausen), Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou), Mason Morgan (Orpheus Pledger), Evelyn “Evie” MacGuire’s (Philippa Northeast), Matt Page (Alec Snow) and Justin (James Stewart).

“Home and Away” also stars Billie Ashford (Tessa De Josselin), VJ Patterson (Matthew Little), Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker), Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), Tori Morgan (Penny McNamee) , Brody (Jackson Heywood), Duncan Stewart (Benedict Wall), Nate Cooper (Kyle Pryor), Irene Roberts (Lynne McGranger), John Palmer (Shane Withington) and Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons).

Back to the Bay reports that Thursday’s episode centres on Zac and Leah as their relationship hits a snag. In an attempt to save their marriage, they resort doing something drastic. Meanwhile, it dawns on Matt that raising a kid is not exactly an easy thing to do. Elsewhere, Phoebe and Kat’s blind date turns to a huge disaster, while Olivia reels after discovering Tabitha’s betrayal.

Seven Network posted a sneak peek of the Sep.1 episode. In the trailer, Olivia is surprised to realise that Hunter’s right about Tabitha. While looking at Tabitha’s phone, Olivia sees the video taken while Zac was logging in the school system. She tells Zac about it, but when he questions Tabitha, she continues to deny that she had anything to do with tampering the exam results.

Meanwhile, Kat catches Ash spying on their blind dates. Kat and Phoebe bring home their dates at home, but are later shocked to see their dates half-naked, waiting for them to “play.”

“Home and Away” recap

On Wednesday, Ash approached Kat at the beach and the two had a small talk. However, Kat catching herself, she him straight that there’s nothing going on between them and she walked out. Meanwhile, Justin went to Phoebe’s house to apologise after snapping at her. Phoebe didn’t accept his apology and said that whatever they have is over. She realised he’s right – they’re not together. Later, Kat and Phoebe found they’re on the same ground about the men in their lives. They agreed that they need men who are the exact opposite of the Ash and Justin. They sought Chris’ help for dates, and he recommended some accountants for them. While Chris was arranging blind double dates for the two ladies, Ash overheard him. Chris shared with Ash about Phoebe and Kat’s request. Ash also informed Justin about the ladies’ latest plan. Ash wanted to spy on them, but Justin refused.

Zac called Hunter to his office and confronted him about his grades at the last exam. His scores at the actual test papers were different at the school’s records, and the discrepancy only reflected on his test results. It appeared that someone tampered with the school system to change his marks, and Hunter was the prime suspect. Hunter reckoned it was Tabitha who did it, but when Zac asked her about it, she denied any involvement. She made up a story for her alibi. She also accused Zac of being biased to his son. Later, Hunter warned Olivia about Tabitha, saying that the latter is a psychopath who cannot be trusted.

Meanwhile, Leah wasn’t feeling too happy about what’s happening at home. Zac was too preoccupied at his job, and even their romantic picnic was cut short when he had to go back to school. Also, she was pissed with VJ and Billie after they told Irene the gender of the baby when she asked them to keep it a secret first. Later, however, Leah softened up and was ecstatic to find out she’s having a granddaughter.
