“Home and Away” recap
Last week, Matt was enjoying taking care of his little sister and reckoned he’s doing a good job. However, Roo later bumped into Ellie at the beach and surprised that the young girl wasn’t at school where she’s supposed to be. Ellie admitted that she’s having a hard time as the new girl. Roo went with her to school and talked to Zac. Shortly after, Matt arrived and learned that his sister has been skipping classes. He was even more surprised when Ellie admitted that she “accidentally” deleted Zac’s previous warning about it. Later, Matt had an argument with Ellie while he was trying to reach out to her. Roo encouraged Matt to probe deeper – there seems to be something more than Ellie’s letting on.
Leah and Zac talked to their friends about the rut they’re currently in. The two sat down for a serious conversation and tried to sort out their relationship problems. Agreeing that they’ve lost their spark and they have to do something drastic to spice things up, they decided to live separately at least for a little bit. The next day, however, Leah started having doubts about their plan – she began to worry that Zac might like being single a little too much.
Meanwhile, Mason was still finding it hard to believe Evie’s theory that Oscar’s been watching over her and that her twin’s the reason why she went unscathed after the plane crash and explosion. Mason believed that Evie was just having hallucinations brought about by the accident. Evie’s determined to prove that she’s right, and her first step was to ask Marilyn to read her cards. When Marilyn said that Oscar has definitely left their world but his spirit lives in Evie, she refused to believe it. Evie insisted that Oscar was there on the plane, watching over her and saving her.
When Evie walked off, she bumped into Mason, who asked where she’s headed. Evie said she’s going to see Oscar and Mason insisted on going with her. Evie drove maniacally, as if daring Oscar to protect her despite her deliberate attempts to meet an accident. Mason began to worry and asked Evie to pull aside. She told him that nothing’s going to happen – Oscar is there looking out for her.
