Hottest Celebrity Sightings at the Mercedes- Benz New York Fashion Week [PHOTOS]

New York's weeklong celebration of high fashion in the country has begun, and here are famous faces that arrived for its various shows and events.

Each year, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week attracts many celebrities, musicians, and fashion plates. From the likes of Amanda Seyfried to Samuel L. Jackson, stars made sure to get a front row spot in some of the best shows this year. Rapper Nicki Minaj showed up in the Prabal Gurung Sping/Summer collection fashion show in her usual rainbow-colored ensemble, as Seyfried who enjoyed the designs from her front row seat.

Designer Derek Lam proved to be a celebrity magnet, with U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Marie Claire Fashion Director Nina Garcia on the front row, scrutinizing each magazine-worthy look coming down the runway. LeAnn Rimes, Julianne Hough, and "The Sopranos" star Jamie Lynn Sigler all attended the Monique Lhuiller show, while Jackson was spotted at a Y-3 fashion event.

The finale runway of the award-winning reality series "Project Runway" was held on the event's first day, with judges Michael Kors, Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and actresses Jennifer Love Hewit and Malin Akerman all present in the front row.

Young Hollywood fashion notables Sophia Bush and Ashley Tisdale were photographed at the Rebecca Taylor Spring/Summer collection show, whose designs emanate the chic, modern woman of today.

Kim Kardashian's new husband Khris Humphries arrived at the Jill Stuart show, together with in-law Scott Disick.
