How To Get Away With Murder' season 3 spoilers: Mysterious episode ender raises questions on the state of Wes's dead body; fans ripe with theories
Next episode airs February 9, 2017
Many “How to Get Away With Murder” fans believed that Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) was truly dead after he was completely burnt. However, the upcoming episode, “Go Cry Somewhere Else,” hinted that something was not right about Wes’ body.
In the promo video of “How to Get Away With Murder” season 3 episode 11 on YouTube, Laurel (Karla Souza) asks to see Wes’ body. However, when Nate (Billy Brown) shows her the corpse, they both gaze at it shockingly, revealing that there might be more to learn about his apparent death. Although it is understandable for Laurel to react in a surprising manner, it is strange for Nate to do the same since he already saw the body before. Wes’ body may have been used to frame Annalise (Viola Davis) and destroy her.
According to Romper, it is possible that the shocking expressions of Laurel and Nate may be over completely different matters, though the spoiler video only made it appear that it was about Wes’ body. There are speculations that Wes’ body is gone or the corpse has been replaced or tampered with. There are some viewers who believe that Wes is still alive, although it is highly improbable. Overall, a great mystery remains surrounding his death.
In the meantime, TV Fanatic stated that Annalise’s mother will return to town to offer some help to her daughter again. She assured Annalise that she will fix things for her although her plan remains a secret. She is still in jail trying to clear her name for Wes’ murder. Nate seems to be on his way to aid Annalise as well, although Bonnie (Liza Weil) warns him that she might turn on him. Nate answered that she would never turn on him again.
Annalise will also apparently meet Frank (Charlie Weber) in County, which was quite unusual. The two are believed to have collaborated in the murder so there must be an important reason for them to talk.
“Go Cry Somewhere Else” is directed by Cherie Nowlan and written by Daniel Robinson. “How To Get Away With Murder” will air next on Feb. 9 on ABC in the US. In Australia, the show airs on Channel Seven.
