"How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 will make Barney Stinson and Robin Scherbatsky the focus on the TV series because of their upcoming wedding. However, the other enthralling characters of the show should not be forgotten since Marshall, Lily and Ted will embark as well with their path in the series' finale.

Couple Marshall and Lily will be having issues as Season 9 unfolds, since Marshall holds a big secret from Lily about his recent judgeship. "Marshall's secret will be part of the 'dirty laundry' that executive producer Carter Bays promises will 'come exploding out' during the wedding weekend like last year's meatball sub. But naturally, it won't be Marshall who spills the beans," TV Guide reported.

The HIMYM premiere episode title is "The Locket" and a new female character with connection to Marshall will be introduced. Latinos Post reported: "Camille, somewhere between her 30s and 40s, is seated next to Marshall on a flight from Minnesota to New York City, where she becomes so annoyed with his behavior that it sparks a feud and, unsurprisingly, they're both escorted off the plane prior to takeoff."

As for Ted Mosby, actress Cobie Smulders talked about a weird and tense reunion between her character Robin and former flame, Ted, in the upcoming wedding weekend. "I think that there's this stress of the wedding happening, and it's enough to create stress. But I don't know, things are definitely weird between her and Ted," Ms Smulders revealed in an IGN interview.

"They haven't seen each other, so we shot a few scenes where they finally saw each other. There's definitely a lot of tension between them. But it's also like, they've all been friends for so long that it's par for the course. She dated Ted, then she dated Barney, she's kind of back to Ted for a second, and then -- you know, there's a lot going on. But I don't know what's going to happen at the actual wedding," the actress added.

Cobie Smulders further revealed that she has not yet completely absorbed the idea of saying goodbye to the "How I Met Your Mother" series, co-stars and crew. "You know what, it sort of feels like business as usual right now, except for the fact that we're shooting on a completely different stage, which is weird... But we're just sort of like, 'Let's just do it'... Every once in awhile it hits me, 'Oh, this is the last season.' I feel like around the holidays it's going to start to really sink in," Cobie shared.

The final season of "How I Met Your Mother" is scheduled to return at CBS on September 23.
