Ted Mosby's (Josh Radnor) romantic history will be catching up with him in "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9. The CBS sitcom is set to bring back actress Ashley Williams for one last run as Victoria, Ted's former flame.

"Ashley Williams, who has recurred throughout the CBS comedy's run as Ted's on-again, off-again love Victoria, is making one more visit before the series finale this spring," reports TV Line. Anonymous sources have revealed that the important woman in Ted's past will be appearing in Episode 19.

The upcoming episode is expected to begin filming this December with airing schedule set some time in April. Victoria became Ted's first serious girlfriend in "How I Met Your Mother" Season1. Ted and Victoria met at a wedding and ended up dating in numerous episodes until she landed a job in Germany as a pastry chef.

Their long-distance relationship did not work especially with Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders) entering the picture. In Season 7, Ted and Victoria gave their romantic relationship another try.

The two dated once again during the first couple of episodes in Season 8 and briefly got engaged. However, Victoria decided to end the relationship when Ted refused to put an end to his friendship with Robin.

The details on Victoria's return in "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 are still unclear. The MStars News report speculates Victoria will be the one to make Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin's wedding cake or she will appear in a flashback only.

"It's anyone's guess at this point, but considering Ted is about to fall for the show's titular 'mother,' I'm thinking we shouldn't keep our fingers crossed for a full-on Ted/Victoria reunion," reports Andy Swift of Hollywood Life.

Ashley Williams recently finished her starring role in the Broadway adaptation of John Grisham's "A Time to Kill." In the meantime, catch Ted Mosby still waiting around for "The Mother" to come into his life in "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9, Episode 13 "Bass Player Wanted" airing on Monday night, December 16, at 7 p.m. central time on the CBS network.
