Marshall (Jason Segel) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) will be dealing with their slap bet in the brand new episode titled "Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra" when "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 returns in 2014 from its holiday break. The latest spoiler reports claim the reason behind the slap bet has something to do with Hillary Clinton.

In the TV Line report, actor Jason Segel's cryptic hint reads: "I'll just say two words, and you can take them any way you want: Hillary. Clinton." It looks like the upcoming episode will focus only on the slap bet between the two friends and not on anything else.

The official synopsis of Episode 14 in the Latino Post report reads: "In an attempt to deliver a devastating final slap to Barney, Marshall explains how he mastered the Slap of A Million Exploding Suns." The CBS series creators and co-executive producers, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, even revealed that the episode will entirely occur during a super slow-motion slap with a musical guest making an awesome appearance in the January 2014 episode.

In the meantime, the Zap 2 It report claims "How I Met Your Mother" will finally come to an end on March 31, 2014 with an hour-long series finale. The report reads: "The finale date is a good six weeks before the end of the TV season, but it will allow 'HIMYM' to air almost exclusively new episodes from the time it returns on Jan. 13. The show will air repeats on Feb. 10 and 17 opposite the Winter Olympics, but it will be all new episodes otherwise."

After the "How I Met Your Mother" finale on March 31, CBS will be introducing their new TV series called "Friends With Better Lives." It is about a group of friends who each think that the others have it better where the cast includes "HIMYM" recurring actor James Van Der Beek, Kevin Connolly of "Entourage," Majandra Delfino and Brooklyn Decker.

The "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 story continues with Episode 14 "Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra" when it airs on Monday night, January 13, at 8 p.m. EST on the CBS network.
