The CBS Network has released the synopsis for the next episode of "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 to keep fans hooked while waiting for its return on Monday, Feb 24. In the upcoming episode 18 titled "Rally," Barney will be waking up on the morning of his wedding day messed up with a horrible hangover.

In the Latino Post report, the synopsis for episode 18 reads: "When Barney suffers from the world's worst hangover the morning of his wedding, the gang tries to figure out the far-fetched ingredients to concoct the Stinson Hangover Fixer Elixir." Aside from Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris) dilemma, the upcoming episode will also be offering viewers some flash forwards for Ted (Josh Radnor), Robin (Cobie Smulders), Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall (Jason Segel).

The report further revealed that the "HIMYM" series creators, Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, teased the fans about episode 18 "Rally" during a Reddit AMA session this February. According to the creators, the remaining eight episodes in "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 will have a lot of flash forwards where viewers get a peek into the future of each character.

Mr Bays even hinted about finding out what really happened with the pineapple. "We had always said we'd never reveal it, but now I'd say it's fifty fifty. It's always been an appealing idea to us artistically to leave it as the one mystery that never gets solved. But on the other hand, we do have an explanation for it that we like so it may make its way into these last few episodes," he stated.

As for "The Mother," Mr Bays shared that viewers will be able to see the entire gang with actress Cristin Milioti who portrays the character. The TV creators revealed that one of the last "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 scenes will be at the gang's favourite hangout place: MacLaren's.

In the E!Online TV Scoop report, "HIMYM" fans are asked to get ready to meet someone before the series finale. The spoiler report reads: "Get ready to meet Carl the Bartender's son. Just like his papa he'll have a strong New York accent."

"How I Met Your Mother" season 9, episode 18 titled "Rally" is scheduled to air on Monday night, Feb 24, at 8 pm EST on CBS.
