“How I Met Your Mother” will be devoting its milestone 200th episode to the eponymous mother. Creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays have revealed spoilers for the upcoming episodes of the concluding U.S. sitcom, including the significance of the mother’s meeting with a main character and the episode that’s set largely in China.

The pair, along with the cast and crew, celebrated the CBS comedy’s 200th episode on Thursday. And according to them, the much anticipated episode, which will air on January 27, will be focusing on the “mother” so much that viewers will “be so sick of her by the end of this episode.”

“The 200th episode, she is the star of it,” Thomas was quoted by the Huffington Post as saying. “It’s from her perspective... anyone who wants more of her will love this episode. And past the episode, there will be quite a bit more of her, too.

“We wanted to find the right balance where it’s still special when she appears. We like the idea of the audience tuning in not knowing if they’re going to get her.”

Viewers will also get to finally know the mother’s name, but as to when and how still remain a secret. Bays said that they have just picked a name a while ago.

“You’ll get a name... before we’re done. I won’t say when and where,” Thomas just said.

The “mother” was revealed for the first time at the end of the show’s eighth season. Broadway actress Cristin Milioti is playing the still unnamed character.

Also, Robin (Cobie Smulders) will be the last to meet the mother, and there’s a “definite significance” to why that is.

Thomas said that “”it’s a very important moment when they run into each other,” adding that the momentous event will happen late in the season.

Fans will also be treated to a Chinese special. An upcoming episode will be largely set in China and will be narrated mostly through flashbacks. If this doesn’t make sense, don’t worry because Thomas assured that it will “make sense once you see it.”

Thomas explained, “There are a bunch of episodes coming up where anyone having fatigue of the wedding weekend will be happy – there’s a lot of crazy, time machine structural jumpiness coming up that I think people will enjoy.”

“How I Met Your Mother,” which, apart from Smulders, also stars Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan, and Neil Patrick Harris, is set to air on April 28.

A spin-off series is already planned. However, “How I Met Your Dad” will be “very much its own beast” and will feature a different set of characters.
