Manny Pacquiao

The magic of Photoshop has allowed digital artists to insert a person into a photograph even if that person was not present. It also could manipulate the other features of the person being inserted such as hairstyle, facial and body hair and clothes to fit into the era or genre where he is inserted.

Green Mango decided to show how Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao would look like if he were the member of nine bands. And the result is both amazing and hilarious.

For the first band, Metallica, Manny has a receding top hairline but has a thick mane that reaches his shoulder and black sleeveless sando shirt with a skeleton design and accessorised with a silver necklace. His face shows angst, just like his three bandmates.

For the second band, Backstreet Boys, Manny’s facial hair is trimmed and his “do” is contemporary. He mixes a light green sando for his top covered with an open black shirt and matched with blue denims. He sports a serious look versus the big smiles of the three other boys and a glum look by a fourth band member.

If Manny were a member of Insane Clown Posse, he would wear a black denim jacket closed all the way tall to the neck. Then his hair would be dyed bright red, and he would have white face and black lips and prominent eyebrows similar to Kiss members’ facial makeup.

But as member of Korean boy band C-Clown, he would lose the facial hair and have a tall hairdo. He gets to wear a grey formal coat and a black shirt underneath with white dots. Finally, the accent of his get-up is a white bow tie.

There is not much change from his present look if he were part of the Beatles, except for a trimmer mustache and no beard. He gets to wear a formal black suit, which he actually does when attending sessions in the Philippine House of Representatives.

Manny bears a similarity to apl.de.ap with his square black sunglasses and chunky gold necklace on red long-sleeved top as member of Run DMC. He shows some muscles and how trimmed his abs are by just wearing a white sando as member of NSYNC. The facial hair is still there similar to his current look, but the short cropped hair fits him well.

As a Red Hot Chili Peppers member, the Filipino boxer is made to look like a European painter with his beret, shaved head but full beard and mustache, and long-sleeved dark collarless shirt. Finally, if he were with One Direction, the grey suit returns. What is interesting here is his long and wavy hair, similar to the hairstyle of three of his famous bandmates.

As a bonus, Green Mango artists also made a Toy Fight of the Century video showing Pacquiao slugging it out with Floyd Mayweather Jr with the two boxers as customised action figures. The video, which runs for two minutes and 27 seconds, would delight Filipino boxing fans because Pacquiao wins over Money May here.

The prediction of a Pacquiao win was also just made by American boxer Miguel Cotto who picked the eight-division title holder over the undefeated boxer Mayweather. Cotto cited coach Freddie Roach and Manny’s speed as the reasons why he sees the Filipino champ winning the dream match on May 2.
