Pacquiao To Have Dinner With Prince Harry & Other Brit Royals
Floyd Mayweather Jr, eat your heart out! Arch rival Manny Pacquiao is going to London to have dinner in Buckingham Palace with Prince Harry, and possibly Queen Elizabeth.
The Filipino boxer broke the news on Thursday to GMA. The dinner is upon the invitation of Prince Harry, the second son of the future king of Britain, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.
Pacquiao would leave for London on Jan 22. He admitted that he does not know yet the topic during their dinner.
Pacquiao and Prince Harry have something in common - military service. The prince served as a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan, while Pacquiao is a reserved officer in the Philippine Armed Forces and was promoted in December to honorary commodore in the Philippine Coast Guard which is the equivalent of a one-star general.
And like the controversial prince's uncle, Andrew, the two men also had checkered pasts with women. Until Pacquiao's conversion into a born-again Christian, he was linked with a Filipina starlet which almost broke his marriage to wife Jinkee. Prince Harry figured in a scandal in 2013 when he played strip poker with Las Vegas babes which resulted in his naked photos being published by British tabloids - to the consternation of his grandmum, the Queen.
Prince Harry is a true royal, while Pacquiao is a boxing royal, the holder of eight crowns in different weight titles.
Pacquiao also named his first daughter, his third child by Jinkee, Princess, while his second daughter is named Queen Elizabeth.
From a poor and hungry construction worker to the richest congressman in the Philippines, Pacquiao certainly has levelled up, rubbing elbows not only with politicians in and out of the country, but now with royalty.
Meanwhile, the royals of United Arab Emirates who offered the record-high $120 million for the American boxer to fight Pacquiao in Abu Dhabi withdrew the offer because of the unbeaten boxer's flip flopping stand in fighting with Pacquiao.
At least he has also two "royal" friends on his camp - the new King of Pop and his best friend Justin Bieber and the son of the deceased King of Pop Michael Jackson, aptly named Prince, who is being trained by Money May to box.
