Release date of “How To Train Your Dragon 3” in the US was again pushed back. The film is now set for a March 1, 2019 release.

The new release date for “How To Train Your Dragon 3” has been announced through a press release from Universal. The film will now be released one week prior to Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” on March 8. DreamWorks released “How To Train Your Dragon 3” two years ago.

The Global Dispatch notes that the film was initially set to be released in June 2016, but was pushed to 2017. Later, it was again moved back to 2018 after DreamWorks went through major corporate restructuring.

The outlet has also stated that director Dean Delo will be back to helm “How To Train Your Dragon 3.” In a separate interview, Delo told Collider that “How To Train Your Dragon 3” will be a “culmination of Hiccup’s coming of age.”

Based on the film’s official synopsis, Hiccup manages to fulfil his dream of creating a peaceful dragon utopia. Meanwhile, Toothless’ discovery of an untamed, elusive mate draws the Night Fury away.

But it’s not all sunshine as Hiccup’s reign as village chief will be put to test. The synopsis hints that both dragon and rider are forced to make impossible decisions in order to save mankind.

Voice cast Jay Baruchel (Hiccup), Gerard Butler (Stoick), Craig Ferguson (Gobber), TJ Miller (Tuffnut), Kristen Wiig (Ruffnut), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Fishlegs) and Jonah Hill (Snotlout) will be back for “How To Train Your Dragon 3.” Cate Blanchett (Valka) and Djimon Hounsou (Drago) will also return.

“How To Train Your Dragon 3” official release date in Australia is yet to be announced. As of this writing, Thereelbits.com notes the film’s release date in the country on June 21, 2018. The list is expected to be updated soon.
