HTC M7 One was released running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and the smartphone unveiled in the recent Mobile World Congress became the greatest competitor of Samsung Galaxy S4. On May, HTC One will possibly receive an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, according to HTC.

PhonesReview reported that an inside source revealed the update and will begin to roll out in two months times. The HTC One release was recently pushed back to late April,

"HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One, and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany, and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America, and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April," according to an announcement made by HTC.

"We appreciate our customer's patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth that wait," the company added.

Many devices recently received updates of both Android 4.1 and 4.2 versions and brought a whole new look. Android 4.2 improves on the speed and simplicity of the Android 4.1 with new features added to it.

  • Faster and smoother scrolling between home screens and applications.
  • Improved overall system performance including faster orientation changes, quicker switching between recent apps, and more consistent rendering across the system.
  • More reactive and uniform touch responses, boosting the device's CPU.

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean includes:

  • New accessibility features such as Triple Tap and Talkback screenreader
  • New designed camera app tools
  • New photo editing feature with filters, borders and other tools
  • New feature added called Photo Sphere
  • New Gesture Keyboard
  • New options to add widgets on the device's lock screen
  • New Access Settings from the notification shade
  • New and improved Google Now and Voice Search

Hopefully, the update for HTC One pushes out worldwide before the release of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, or the Taiwanese company will have to double time for another update.
