1. Homescreen Tips
HTC Sense UI delivers unique ways to quickly add widgets and multiple homescreens without suffering poor performance. Long-press on an empty space then start adding widgets, apps, and shortcuts. You can also add up to 7 panels on the home screen.
2. Lock screen Customization
You can change the lock screen looks by going to "Settings > Personalize > Lock screen Style". Select themes you desire containing special functions such as more notifications or social media streams.
3. Keyboard Layout and Swype feature
To switch between keyboard layouts of number or symbols, you can swipe sideways across the keyboards to access this feature. Swype keyboard is also included with your HTC keyboard, simply go to "Input Settings" and turn on the "Trace Keyboard" switch.
4. Predictions and Dictionary
There is a drop-down button you can use to view additional predictions if the word you intend doesn't appear in the top three list. And if you are tired of always pressing the prediction list, just manage the dictionary yourself and add words of your personal choice. Go to "Settings > Language & Keyboard > HTC Sense Input > Personal Dictionary".
5. Disabling Fast Boot
Fast boot makes the device boot faster to shorten start-up time, but it does not completely clean the temporary data files. Disable the Fast Boot feature for a clean start-up every time you restart the device.
6. USB Connection Mode
Many Android smartphone devices cannot choose one feature under USB connection and that is Charge Only. HTC One X can have five connection modes: Charge Only, Disk Drive, HTC Sync Manager, USB Tethering, and Internet pass-through.
7. Free storage space advisor
When all of the storage drives of HTC One X are completely filled up, go to "Settings > Storage > Make more space" and follow the prompts to guide you for options to free up space.
8. HTC UI applies to other apps
Some application changes appearance once it detects HTC Sense UI in the device unlike with other devices displaying the standard layout. Calendar application is one of many applications works with HTC Sense UI.
9. Browser Quick Controls
Go to the Browser and utilise the Quick Controls by checking it under the Settings inside the browser and then "Labs". Swipe either on the left or right of the screen, a radial interface contains shortcuts for new tab, tab viewer, address bar, bookmarks, and settings.
10. Slow-motion video
Not many mobile devices can capture slow-motion video and allow users to play with it. But HTC One X can, it is one of the scenes you can choose under the camera options. The slow-motion scene also captures audio rates similar to the video, but still fun to play with, and video editing may solve the problem.
11. Random Music
Volume keys are designed to set down or up the overall volume by default. With HTC One X, a creative effect can change the default function as it can play random tunes if desired.
