HTC One: Behind the Scenes Video of Making the New All-Metal Smart Phone [VIDEO]
HTC One is one of the favorite Android smart phones nowadays and it recently earned the Editor's Choice Award during a review. The Taiwanese smart phone manufacturer did not have the marketing budget of rival companies like Apple and Samsung but the HTC design team still proudly discussed in a YouTube video how they turned a metal slab into a remarkable device with a specific yet impressive design process.
In the video, HTC discussed the details on how they came up with the design of HTC One and utilized the "Zero Gap" construction. Specialized tools were shown as well to enlighten the device enthusiasts how the HTC One aluminum back was created.
Creative director Daniel Hundt together with manufacturing design and senior director Jethro Liou used interesting words in the video describing the HTC One smart phone such as electro chemical etching process, nano matrix structure and the special diamond cutter that can create a chamfer.
Similar to most of the Apple devices, the HTC One is an aluminum-made smart phone which makes it a big deal. The Android smart phones in the market are more or less made from plastic and do not even match the Apple iPhone quality design and build.
The HTC One smart phone has a design comparable to Apple's MacBook, iPad and iPhone 5. HTC designers are speculated to draw their ideas from the MacBook in creating the new HTC flagship phone.
As a follow up to the 2012 HTC One X smart phone, one of the impressive HTC One features is the dual front-facing speakers. The HTC smart phone has a 4.7-inch HD screen display powered with the 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, NFC support, 2 GB of RAM, a 2.1MP front-facing camera and the HTC UltraPixel rear-facing camera
The One has the latest HTC software improvements such as the updated HTC Sense 5, HTC Blinkfeed and the HTC Zoe. Watch the video below that shows the behind-the-scenes development of the new HTC One with the designers who explained the groundbreaking improvements made on the smart phone.
