HTC One M9 Plus (One M9+) Prototype Video Surfaces: Physical Home Button Indicates Fingerprint Scanner, Dual Front-Facing Camera
The HTC One M9 Plus, also referred as HTC One M9+, has been on rumour mill’s radar for a couple of days now. The latest news, however, is that along with the mock-up images of the handset, there is a new video that demonstrates the M9+ prototype.
The video and mock-ups have originated from @OnLeaks, which also runs the credible tipster site called NWE. Apparently, the HTC One M9 Plus prototype showcased in the video was used by official cover/case makers to design their protective cases. In case, the prototype turns out to be true, the upcoming handset will house a physical home button, unlike other HTC devices. Plus, the device will reportedly have the capability to authenticate users via fingerprint scanner embedded on the button, notes Phone Arena.
As far as the key HTC One M9 Plus specifications go, the handset will apparently come with a 5.2-inch display bundled with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels screen resolution. Meanwhile, the One M9 Plus dummies also show a dual rear-facing camera unit and a seriously large front-facing snapper unit. NWE says, the dual primary camera will be a combination of 20.7 MP and 2.1 MP units. Also, the frontal shooter is believed to be a 4 Ultra Pixel unit. Speaking of size, the handset will reportedly measure 150.9 x 72.5 x 10.15 mm. In comparison, the recently released flagship One M9 comes with a dimension of 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61 mm on to the M9. Therefore, it is evident that the upcoming HTC One M9+ will be quite bigger than the 2015 flagship.
Under the hood, the One M9 Plus is believed to come powered by an octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810) processor. On the other hand, if reports are true, there will also be a new variant powered by MediaTek MT6795 chipset. Furthermore, the handset will apparently be backed by 3 GB of RAM configuration. And lastly, the whole configuration will reportedly be held together and powered by a 2,840 mAh battery unit. Nonetheless, the tech giant has not confirmed the HTC One M9 Plus specifications thus far.
