HTC One M9, also known as HTC Hima, is rumoured to be the successor model for HTC One M8. Fresh leaks reveal that the Taiwanese tech giant is working on a bigger edition of the 2015 flagship that is being referred to as HTC One M9 Plus.

According to @leaksfly on Twitter, the upscale edition of HTC One M9 will be featuring a 5.5-inch Quad HD display screen that will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3 GB of camera. Like the HTC One M8, it will also feature dual camera kit. Lastly, it is rumoured to feature a fingerprint sensor.

The rear side of the HTC One M9 Plus features a dual-tone LED flash enabled camera. Since the HTC One M9 is heavily speculated to house a 20.7 MP camera, the newer sibling is also expected to feature the same camera, says Gizmo China. It further adds that the alleged device will feature a 13 MP front-facing camera.

Gizmo China says that HTC may roll out two variants of its flagship model in 2015. Leaked photos of the purported HTC One M9 Plus reveal that the smartphone does not feature speakers below the display. It only features a single speaker that is present above the display along with the front-facing camera.

GSM Arena states that as far as the design of the device is concerned, its appearance is slightly unique from the usual HTC styling. The speaker grill is absent and instead of it there is a hardware button that houses the fingerprint sensor.

HTC is going to unveil a new smartphone on Mar. 1 as it has sent invitations for the launch event. Even though the initiation does not reveal which HTC products are going to be launched on Mar.1. Speculations are rife that the Taiwanese tech giant will organise the event to unveil its new flagship, the HTC One M9.

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 expo will begin on Mar. 2 in Barcelona and finish on Mar. 5. However, the Taiwanese tech giant has chosen to launch its new product a day prior to MWC 2015 through an exclusive event to grab the attention of the tech world. HTC has not confirmed anything on the successor model for HTC One M9 and the newly surfaced HTC One M9 Plus.
