The highly anticipated HTC One Max phablet has finally been released. The device had seen many leaks including photos and specs recently. Here are some key features and specs of the device.

Design and Display

The HTC One Max comes with a massive 5.9-inch display screen rendering a full HD 1,080-pixel resolution. The dimensions of the phone are 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.29 mm and it weighs 217 grams.

Hardware

The device comes with a 1.7 GHz quad core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. It comes in 16 and 32 GB internal memory variants, which can be expanded by up to 64 GB using a micro SD card. It has 2 GB of RAM.

Speakers

The speakers on the HTC One Max have received a boost. The device now comes with dual frontal stereo speakers, which are boosted with built in amplifiers. The company is calling this feature the HTC BoomSound.

Camera

The primary camera on the device is the much talked about HTC UltraPixel camera. The secondary camera on the device is 2.1 MP. The cameras have a dual capture mode. This mode displays the images as picture in picture.

The camera comes with features like Smart Flash, which has five levels of flash - set automatically depending on the distance of the person whose picture is to be taken. It also allows users to record videos in slow motion and play them back at variable speeds.

Battery

The HTC One Max comes with a Li-polymer 3,300 mAh battery, which allows for a talk time of 25 hours on WCDMA and up to 28 hours on CDMA.

Fingerprint Scanner

The much talked about fingerprint scanner features on the device. Unlike the iPhone 5S, which first introduced the technology in the market, the HTC One Max has the feature at the back of the device. The feature allows users to unlock the device without needing a pass code and also launches apps.
