HTC just unveiled the latest addition to their products in the One series – the One ME – on Thursday. According to multiple online reports, the device will be heading to China pretty soon.

It might have some features similar with those of the One M9+, which was only launched a couple of months ago, according to CNET. However, what will make the One ME stand out will be its 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera.

The One M9+ and the One ME both sport a 5.2-inch screen display with a 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, a 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 processor and a DuoCamera depth sensor. However, only the latter device from HTC is equipped with the 4-megapixel UltraPixel shooter.

The One ME will also come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage, which can also be expanded with through a microSD card of up to 2 TB. Plus, one other feature unique to the One ME will be its dual nano SIM cards, according to a separate CNET report.

It will run on an Android OS that has a customized Sense user interface. Plus, it will sport not one, but two BoomSound stereo speakers as well as a fingerprint sensor on its front portion.

Although its internal specs make the One ME a good, solid smartphone that make it at par with the top units dominating the market today, its external features reportedly hold the device’s most notable characteristics.

For instance, the unit’s back portion has been installed with a polycarbonate finish that is very soft to touch. The material was then completed with aluminum edges, somehow giving its rear part a more premium look. According to the report, the polycarbonate material is most likely the biggest reason the One ME’s price is a bit lower than its all-metal counterparts.

To date, it remains unclear when the HTC One ME will be launched in the Chinese tech market but tech users are expecting it sometime later this year, as stated by previous reports.
