HTC One Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile handsets are now available in the U.S. Soon, a black HTC One will be released, too. But Australians who want to get HTC's flagship smartphone out of carrier deals have to wait a little longer.

From mid-April, the HTC One release date in Australia has been moved to late-April. It has earlier been reported that HTC anticipated delays over camera component issues. Australian gadget shoppers are hoping to catch the smartphone before the anticipated release date of Samsung Galaxy S4, which is on Apr. 26.

In the U.S. AT&T and Sprint are offering the silver 32GB HTC One for US$199 with a two-year carrier contract. In a special promo, Sprint will give a discount of US$100 to customers shifting from another network. It has been reported that both carriers will be able to offer the black variant soon, though details have yet to be reported.

Heavy phone users can get a 64GB variant from AT&T for US$299 for the same span of time. If you prefer T-Mobile, the carrier is also offering the HTC One for US$99 on a 2-year plan.

The HTC One is seen as a strong rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 in specs and features. Its international release date was originally planned for mid-March, but supply issues held back the Taiwanese manufacturer.

Inside the HTC One is a quad-core, 1.7GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, with 2GB of DDR RAM. Its camera feature uses not megapixels, but ultrapixels for better low light shooting. Blinkfeed and Zoe Camera are two of the Android features most anticipated in this powerful device.
