Australian actor, Hugh Jackman is again proving his versatility as an actor as he takes on the stage for a solo musical performance in May.

The ‘X-Men’ star said Aceshowbiz will be featured in a two-week musical show on stage at Curran Theater in California where he will be performing his Broadway and Hollywood favorite musical numbers.

Known for his great love in music and musical performances, the actor is scheduled to perform from May 3 to 15, backed by a 17 piece orchestra according to Aceshowbiz.

Jackman was last seen performing musical on stage as host of Academy Awards in 2009. But his involvement and interest to be part of a musical theater comes way back in 1998.

The actor has won critical acclaim and an Olivier Award nomination for his performance in ‘Oklahoma’ , a stage production in London he participated in in 1998. Eddie of romantic comedy ‘Someone Like You’ has been opposite Ashley Judd, has already proven that he could not only act but he could also entertain audience through singing in a number of other performances including, ‘Carousel and the Boy from Oz’.

In 2009, Jackman took to Broadway and performed on stage with Daniel Craig in “A Steady Rain”.

Aceshowbiz noted the statement posted on the official website of Curran Theater that said: "(The theater) proudly presents Hugh Jackman, in Performance at The Curran Theater for a two week limited engagement (from) May 3-15 in San Francisco. Hugh Jackman will perform his Broadway and Hollywood favorite musical numbers backed by a 17 piece orchestra."
