Jennifer Lawrence, who brought life to Katniss Everdeen, was spotted yesterday. Lawrence was seen talking to "Catching Fire" director, Francis Lawrence. Minutes after the meet, Jennifer was spotted clutching a large brown envelope. This could only mean one thing - the script is ready and filming will soon begin.
There has been no word from Lionsgate as to who might play Finnick Odair and Johanna Mason. However, there have been news about one other vital character whose spot has been filled out. Plutarch Heavensbee, who plays the newest game maker, is said to be acted out by Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Hoffman is known for his recent role in the Broadway show, "Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller. There has been no word from the representatives of the Oscar winner but fingers are crossed that Hoffman would say yes to the role.
As for the final choices of actors set out to play Finnick Odair, they would be Garrett Hedlund, Armie Hammer and Taylor Kitsch. There is also no word regarding on whom may play the actress for Johanna Mason.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is set out for a release on November 2013 which gives Lionsgate a lot of time for casting. Hoffman and the other "potential" cast members have a lot of time on their hand to weigh in on deciding if they want to be in the games or not.
