‘Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence: The Trivial Things You Need to Know plus More [PHOTOS & VIDEOS]
So everyone thinks they know who Jennifer Lawrence is but a few will be surprised to hear that "The Girl on Fire" still has a few tricks up her sleeve. Here's a quick set trivia plus more on the girl who brought Katniss Everdeen from Suzanne Collins best-selling novels, "The Hunger Games" to life.
The role of Katniss Everdeen is a physically straining role that not only required expertise in archery but physical stamina as well. Thankfully, Jennifer Lawrence already had those qualities. Before being trained on the set of Gary Ross 'directed film, Lawrence had initially been trained for her own stunts on the film "X-Men: First Class".
As for eating squirrels and birds in her role as Katniss, Lawrence got her first taste of the wild meat from her days of shoot in the film "Winter's Bone" where she also learned to shoot a gun.
For one, Jennifer Lawrence does her own stunts except for those that are a bit too dangerous for a 21-year old. Though surprisingly, Lawrence did more than a playful damage on her co-star, Josh Hutcherson on set.
"We were just goofing around, and like doing some shadow boxing for fun," shared Hutcherson on the "Late Show with David Letterman." "She throws this beautiful kick, but it landed right on my temple and literally knocked me to the ground. I was down. I was seeing stars and she was freaking out, crying," continued Josh. In short, Jennifer Lawrence accidentally gave Josh a concussion on the set which was pretty hilarious for the whole cast.
Despite being able to kick ass and perform her own stunts, Lawrence admits to being afraid of one thing: ghosts. It's a laughable matter for some but Jennifer takes her fear of ghosts quite seriously.
"I'm scared of ghosts. Just yesterday when I moved into a new room at the hotel, I was deeply convinced, that I shouldn't wash my face, because if I would look into the mirror, I would actually see a ghost," shared Lawrence.
In the latest issue of Interview Magazine (Germany), Lawrence shares her interest in Hulk Hogan plus delightfully shares her dream of playing the role of Bridget Joins up to the point that she wished Renee Zellweger hadn't played it in the past so she could do so now.
"I have always wanted to play Bridget Jones. I want the movies to not exist so that I can do that," says Lawrence to which she adds, "When you're feeling 'bleh' and you want a movie that you're never bored of watching, Bridget Jones is that for me so it's natural to say that I want to be Bridget Jones. But I never wanted to replace Renee Zellweger."
While a few fans only recognize Lawrence from the film "X-Men: First Class", Lawrence also played a small role in the film "The Beaver" where she starred alongside Jodie Foster. According to her, Jodie is the only famous person she had ever met who's "completely normal."
"It was the most incredible experience of my life. She is the only famous person I ever met who is not only nice, she is completely normal," shared Lawrence in an interview with OK Magazine UK Edition.
"She has no air of fame. She is a mom. I was happy and relieved to see even big stars like her can be normal people. I'd love to emulate that, I don't want to buy into the Hollywood hype - watching Jodie helped me a lot," added Lawrence.
Unlike a few Hollywood stars that rose up to fame and say their lives were perfectly perfect, Jennifer admits to not being popular in high school, being tormented by her two older brothers and having weight issues like everyone else.
"I've got scars all over my body. The best part - they would fight each other over who could fight me," says Lawrence.
While her being not hugely popular back in high school is highly disagreeable, Lawrence's commercial for MTV's Sweet Sixteen definitely shows the complete opposite.
Before there was even a Team Peeta & Team Gale, fans of the band Parachute would recognize Jennifer Lawrence as the girl in the music video for their song, "The Mess I Made".
Though the music video shows her charming acting skills, Lawrence doesn't belt out a tune. However, for her role in "Poker House" alongside Sophia Bairley and Chloe Grace Moretz, Lawrence sings out the whole song to "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."
While she has strong ties with Cinna in "The Hunger Games" played by Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer is actually real-life best friends with his daughter, Zoe Kravitz. Surprisingly, the two have already been in trouble in the past where they overcharged Lenny's credit card with room service.
Lawrence's best friend may be one thing but her boy friend is another. Her "basketball buddy" and "surfing partner", Nicholas Hoult. Hoult is rumored to be her boyfriend to which Lawrence denies straightaway during interviews, but a photo taken of them kissing is enough to shut the press up.
As everyone in Hollywood knows, Jennifer was the youngest nominee for the Oscar Award as Best Actress in 2011 for her role as Ree in the film, "Winter's Bone." Her list of awards include: The Marcello Mastroianni Award for the film "Burning Plain" alongside Charlize Theron, Young Artist Award for her performance on the "Bill Engvall Show" and Outstanding Performance Award for her role in the "Poker House." The 21-year old actress was also nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Award.
With the "Hunger Games" hype still fresh in the air, what's next for Lawrence? Well, she's got four films in the works: "House at the End of the Street", "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Serena" both with Bradley Cooper plus "Catching Fire" which is the second film in the "Hunger Games" trilogy. She's also set to be back for the "X-Men: First Class" sequel as Mystique.
Jennifer Lawrence is currently Hollywood's "It" girl. Even Brad Pitt loves the girl while Donald Sutherland utterly adores her.
"I'm watching the movie, and [Katniss] puts the flowers around Rue, then she stands up and she looks at the camera and goes like [does the three finger salute], and I wept. I wept! I went 'Mother f-cker!' Oh, Jennifer is so good," shared Sutherland.
