Liam Hemsworth had long been thrust into the limelight after the film, "The Last Song" but now he's even under more scrutiny with the highly-anticipated film release of "The Hunger Games" which is set to hit the screens this March 23. However, if there's another title Liam is known for, it's being pop superstar, Miley Cyrus' overprotective boyfriend.

In a radio interview on "The Bert Show", 22-year old Liam Hemsworth openly talks about his relationship with the 19-year old, Miley Cyrus.

Though the Australian hunk had already opened up about his girlfriend, Miley Cyrus in recent magazine interviews, hearing him say a lot of good things about his girlfriend are one of the other aw-inducing moments especially for the fans.

Miley and Liam both met up on the set of "The Last Song" where the two had an instant connection which bloomed at the end of filming. It was obvious that their onscreen chemistry had blossomed into their personal off screen lives.

"We met on The Last Song and it's still going," says Hemsworth about initially getting involved with Miley Cyrus.

"I think going into it, it wasn't the goal for that to happen but we just got closer and closer through the shoot and it just kind of happened."

It has been an on-off and on-again relationship for Miley and Liam but with the way these two are spotted connected at the hip at all times then it goes to say that things are getting better and stronger for them. The two heated up the after-Oscar party two weeks ago and are still popping out in different parts of the globe for their out-of-town dates.

Despite Miley's haters with her recent Twitter jumble concerning religion and science plus a few other things, she's got a great support system in Liam who protects her from anything and anyone who would have no qualms about taking her down.

"We have a pretty supportive relationship," says Liam. "We're always supportive of each other's careers and we both know how we feel about each other. We have a great support system."

Miley Cyrus is one lucky girl to have Liam by her side and each of her fans are hoping they stay that way until the very end.
