The highly-anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collin's best-selling novel, "The Hunger Games", will finally hit the theaters in less than 20 days which has got the fans going crazy for more. Thankfully, they don't have to wait longer than that to see their favorite book characters in action because the "Hunger Games" Mall Tour has begun.

Dedicated fans stormed the Los Angeles Westfield Century City Mall on March 3 to get their dose of "Hunger Games" hype. The three main leads namely Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth braved the crowd of over a thousand fans for photographs and autographs. Los Angeles was just a start since this would mark their first 8 city mall tour in the US.

Though the mall tours are just the start of the fame, it's apparent that the film release on March 23 will bring in an even bigger hype for the next films in the book series. Jennifer Lawrence who is no newbie to the fame after being nominated for an Oscar award for the film, "Winter's Bone", has the same thoughts as Josh Hutcherson who has been in the acting business for years.

"2012 is going to be a really big year, I'm looking forward to it," shared Josh Hutcherson in a recent interview with MTV . "[There's going to be] a lot of press, a lot of traveling with that. I'm excited for The Hunger Games to come out, and see how that does, and hopefully get started on the second one."

While Jennifer and Josh are hit by the "Hunger Games" hype, Australian actor, Liam Hemsworth is a bit scared of the popularity and limelight he might be thrust into but that still does not stop him from reflecting the same excitement as his fans.

"I'm excited to see it!" said Hemsworth when asked about his feelings about the "Hunger Games" release.

Liam may be one of the lead stars who have yet to see the film given that Josh had already seen the film for himself which he had excitedly tweeted about. Suzanne Collins, the renowned author of the "Hunger Games" is also one to have seen the finished film.

"I've just had the opportunity to see the finished film of The Hunger Games. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I feel like the book and the film are individual yet complementary pieces that enhance one another. The film opens up the world beyond Katniss' point of view, allowing the audience access to the happenings of places like the Hunger Games control room and President Snow's rose garden, thereby adding a new dimension to the story. And, my God, the actors. The cast, led by the extraordinary Jennifer Lawrence, is absolutely wonderful across the board. It's such a pleasure to see how they've embodied the characters and brought them to life," shares Collins.

The official mall tour of the games has just begun and with a few more days waits before the film finally hits the screen it is sure enough to cause manic and mayhem.
